Service Description

NRA Basic Rifle Shooting Certification  This is an NRA instructor lead course. Please arrive 10 to 15 minutes prior to class start time. This allows time for new students to fill out the Smart Waiver before the course.  The Fee for the Basic Rifle Course is $100.00. A $25.00 deposit is required at least 24 hours before the course start time to secure a seat in the class.  Each student will receive one (1) NRA Basic Rifle Shooting Course Student Packet. Each packet contains:  (1) NRA Guide: Basics of Rifle Shooting handbook  (1) NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure  (1) NRA Marksmanship Qualification Program booklet  (1) Performance Checklist  (1) NRA Certificate of course completion The student equipment and other class requirements are listed below:  Rifle .22 LR or higher caliber. Most students use a semi-automatic .22LR. However, you a bolt-action, semi-automatic, lever-action or slide-action rifles to shoot at the range.  Only IRON SIGHTS for this class. No AIMNG DOT or LASER DEVICES please.  Bring 50 rounds of live ammunition per minimum. I recommend you bring a good 200 rounds total.  Head (baseball cap), eye and hearing protection  Cleaning equipment  Pens or pencils  Eye and hearing protection  Cleaning equipment  It is a full day of classroom and range work. The facility offers courtesy coffee bottled water. If you have any special dietary needs, please bring your own food items you may need to sustain the day.  If you do not have access to your own rifle Mountain Creek Range has different model and caliber rifles you can rent for $30 a day and also offer ammunition for sale.
